Several years ago, many of you volunteered to take part in an Ambassador Program, in which I/O faculty members volunteered to travel to local high schools, Psi Chi chapters at schools with no I/O program, or other organizations (e.g., libraries) and give talks about I/O psychology.
The Education and Training (E&T) Committee of SIOP is resurrecting this program. Because there is now another SIOP Ambassador Program, we have renamed our program the Teachers' Bureau.
If you are interested in participating in the Teachers' Bureau, we ask you to please take five minutes to complete the following survey, which will essentially ask you for basic contact information. We will compile a list of volunteers by states and regions, and then post this on an excel file downloadable from the SIOP webpage.
The mission of the Teachers' Bureau is to help spread the word about I/O psychology to folks who might otherwise not hear about our field. If you want to be part of this, we would ask that you 1) be willing to provide your contact information and be contacted; 2) agree to volunteer to give a talk if a school or other organization close to you asks for a speaker; and 3) share with others about the field of and careers in I/O psychology.
If you would like to participate, please continue and provide the basic information that we will need to make this happen.
